Southern Constructors completed the Coulee La Salle Pond Detention project in Youngsville, LA, helping the City of Youngsville address stormwater management and reduce flood risks for the surrounding community. This important infrastructure project included extensive excavation to create a new detention pond designed to capture and manage excess runoff during heavy rain events.

The work involved site clearing, large-scale earthmoving, construction of an outfall structure, installation of drainage culverts, and grading to ensure proper water flow and storage capacity. By increasing stormwater retention, the pond significantly alleviates pressure on Coulee La Salle and surrounding drainage systems, protecting local neighborhoods and roadways from flooding during severe weather.
